Albert Torres, 70, of Big Spring passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9th. Visitation and viewing will begin on Friday, September 11th at noon with a rosary following at 7:00 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be at Coahoma Cemetery.
Albert was born February 3, 1956, in Big Spring to Santos and Juana Torres. He married Leticia Torres on May 3rd, 1980. Albert grew up in Coahoma and graduated from Coahoma High School. He had worked for Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer for 30 years.
Albert is survived by his wife of 46 years: Leticia Torres of Big Spring; three daughters: Casie Abundez and her husband, A.J. Of Colleyville, Andrea Phinney and her husband, Zac of Big Spring, and Elle Hatfield and her husband, Zach of Big Spring. Grandson: Noah Abundez and another Grandson, arriving in December. Sister: Beatrice Padron of Ft. Worth; two brothers: Eddie Torres and his wife Micki of Mansfield, Henry Torres and his wife Nell of Watauga, and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by is father: Santos Torres in 1975 and his mother: Juana “Jane” Torres of Coahoma in 2016; and twin brother, Alex Torres.
We are so lucky and grateful for all the love, laughter, and breakfast burritos he provided. Every moment we shared will forever be carried in our heart. Thank you for everything, Dad.
