Fern and family please know that the 15 years I knew and worked with Albo was such a great time. He and I traded some shifts here and there, worked overtime together and I had the opportunity to be on his shift for a brief time as well. I remember coming into the fire station sometimes and asking if anyone needed anything and hearing Albo saying "Big Bubba,, get me 2 packs of Kool Filter Kings and I'll pay ya when you get in" He was one of the first Firefighters I met. On my second day we had a big fire at 8th & Johnson and he was driving for Gaskins. I always felt safe when I worked on a truck Albo was driving. I knew he would take care and me. He was a good friend and a good Fireman. He made a difference in his hometown and all of us that had the privilege to work with him. Fern,,, I pray that you and your family will be able to sleep soundly and peacefully going through all of this. Make sure you have something to write with by your bed, and if you find your mind is full of things that you have to get done,, write it down and then leave it,,, it'll be there tomorrow. If you find your head is just full of things that makes it difficult to sleep,, write about it. Somehow that seems to help. Mitch (Bubba) & Stacia

My sincerest condolences to Fern and the Family of Albo. I am truly grateful that I got to know him and work with him at the fire department. Albo was truly one of a kind and I always will look back and laugh at the times we had. Some days working with Albo my cheeks would physically hurt from laughing so much. He had a contagious laugh and I’ve never met another firemen who worked with him that doesn’t feel the same way.

Fern and family, Our condolences in your loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. It was such a pleasure to work with Albo all those years at the fire department. It was always a comfort knowing whether we responded to an EMS call or a structure or grass fire, you always knew Albo had your back. He was a great help around the fire station whether it was cleaning, washing the truck, or cooking, there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help. His great sense of humor and his ability to take a joke or to pull one on someone else kept the time spent at the fire station an enjoyable place to work. He is the kind of guy who we will tell stories about till we go to meet him at the fire house in the sky. We miss you Albo and will never forget the great friend you were. Rest In Peace brother. Nodak and Charmian
