Albert "A.D." Hulslander, 71, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009, after a brief illness. The family will receive visitors from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, January 19, 2009 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland with Chaplain Larry Hood, officiating.A.D. was born April 8, 1937, in Crook, Colorado to Mildred and Leonard Hulslander. A.D. grew up in Colorado and attended school in Dillon, Colorado. He married Nancy Bohannon on November 16, 1957 in Laredo, TX. He served in the United States Air Force as a young man, while starting his family. After leaving the Armed Forces, A.D. began his career in the Oil Industry. He and his family relocated to Midland in the early eighties. His last position was with Endeavor Energy where he was employed from 1989. A.D. loved his family and he loved rodeo. He was a team roper and competed in as many events as possible, riding his favorite horse Claude. He shared his love of horses with his children and grandchildren, and was never too busy to ride with them.Survivors include wife, Nancy of Midland; son Alan Hulslander of Cuero, Texas; daughter Pam Baca and husband Ricky of Midland; son Mark Hulslander and wife Anna of Midland; son Jason Hulslander and wife Olga Ines of Boyd, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Michael Hulslander, Justin Hulslander, Brad Hulslander, Jennifer Baca, Ashley Meir, Erin Hulslander, Kymberly Hulslander, Elizabeth Hulslander, Corriena Hulslander and Catelyn Hulslander; 5 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Allison, Chase, Taylor and Madison Hulslander; sister Elnora Stewart of Apple Valley, California; sister Bernice Kieme of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister Betty Huckabee of Kingman, Arizona; sister Arta Wray of Hayden, Colorado; sister Karma Jones of Kingman, Arizona; brother Ken Hulslander of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and many loving nieces and nephews.A.D. was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harry Hulslander, Len Hulslander and Thomas Hulslander.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2304 W Wadley AVE, Midland, TX 79705.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
