I went to high school with Alan at Highland Park in Dallas. Our Facebook alumni group just got the news today, so many of us just learned about his passing. While an obituary was shared, I searched and was glad to find one with his photo connected. I shared his photo with the FB group. He was such a fun classmate. He was pleasant and friendly, and I loved seeing that smile on his face again this morning. While we were at UT at the same time, we hadn’t kept up, so I was interested to read what he had done with his life since then. While none of the things were surprising, it was nice to hear of his faith and his charity work. Clearly he continued to be a very good person. I also bet he was a great Pops. May your good memories surround you during this time, and may you feel the Lord close beside you each step of this journey of adjusting to life without him.

alan was a great guy and lawyer. I didn't hear about his passing until after the service. I would have been there out of the respect that I held for him. I didn't know he was sick or I would have contacted him. alan was one of the most courteous lawyers to deal with and I enjoyed every case I ever had with him. honest and diligent. he always tried to work things out for his clients and he made practicing law easier for all who dealt with him. he will be missed and please accept my heartfelt condolences to his family

God's peace on each of you. Alan was Mike's first CBS core leader. Mike modeled his style after Alan, never believing he could come close to how Alan made the Bible come alive. I also met 'the girls' at CBS. May you have the peace that passes all understanding from this day forward. blessings, Alma

My deepest condolences for your loss. Alan was one of the most giving, funny, caring, sincere, smart and faithful people I have ever met and had the pleasure to call my friend. He loves his family deeply and has always spoken so highly of Mrs. Meyers and how lucky he was to have her. Alan will be greatly missed here on earth. I look forward to the day we meet again.
