"Al" Alfred Scott, 82, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.He was born on March 31, 1923, in Los Angeles, California and married Arlys Atkins on August 24, 1949 in Big Spring, Texas.Al moved to Big Spring in 1961 from Hamilton. He had worked in radio and newspaper ad sales and in video sales. He had served in the United States Marine Corps.He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars #2013, a member of the Marine Corps Association, the Veterans Affairs Voluntary Services, the Big Spring Little Theater and the Big Spring Art Association.Survivors include his wife, Arlys Atkins Scott; two sons, Gary Lee Scott and Glen Alan Scott all of Big Spring; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law,Athol J.
