5 Unique Ways We Support Families After a Loss

“A family is a little world created by love.” – Unknown

This quote perfectly sums up the way we feel about our family atmosphere at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. We remain a family-operated funeral home in every sense of the word, as we serve our neighbors of Big Spring, Midland, and Stanton.

A third generation Funeral Director, Kasi Welch Baker joined the family business as a “Licensed” Funeral Director upon graduation from Amarillo College of Mortuary Science. Her civic involvement includes a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association, Order of the GOLDEN Rule, CANA, ICCFA, NFDA, TFDA, Executive Women of Midland, Preferred Funeral Directors International, a board member of the Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company, as well as past President of the West Texas Funeral Directors Association.

Families trust us to arrange every detail of their loved one’s funeral, burial, or cremation. We listen and we care, and our decades of professional experience helps us highlight each person’s unique personality at the funeral – and help you on the road to healing.

Our family takes this support role very seriously, as we understand firsthand how stressful, sad, and challenging it is to lose a loved one. There are many ways we come alongside the families we serve, and we’ve highlighted a few of them here:

Support for Our Community:

We are proud to call West Texas home, and that pride is evident both inside and outside our funeral homes. We take part in many area events and organizations. Our community is important to us, and as your neighbors and friends, we hope you trust our family to take care of yours.

Resources to Help you Heal:

We understand firsthand the challenges and pain of losing a loved one. That’s why our grief services are so important to us. The weeks and months after the funeral are often hardest. We can make referrals to support groups and grief counselors and hold a special memorial service at holiday time in honor of those who have died. Let us support you when you need it most.

Our Guiding Grief Interactive Video will help you know you’re not alone. The video provides immediate support, guiding you through steps to help you find answers to many questions about grief and suggestions for your own healing or help with someone else’s healing. Gain an understanding and acceptance of how necessary the process is and know that you will get through it.

From the moment you contact us, our Nalley-Pickle Welch family provides full care and attention so you can focus on what matters most in life: your own family. Reach out to us anytime with questions or to learn more about the support we offer.
