Kelli grew up and attended high school in Crane, after which she moved to Big Spring to attend Howard College. She married her husband, Cody, in 1997, and they continue to live in Big Spring. They have two children, Dylan, a member of the U.S. Air Force, and Averi, who is pursuing a career in nursing.
