William Russell Parks

William Russell Parks, 80 years of age of Big Spring, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025.   Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 10 ,2025 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Trinity Memorial Park at 3:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Russell was born November 13, 1945 in Rochelle, GA to Ellis Victor Parks and Oma Gertrude Fuson. Russell married the love of his life Lanell Parks on October 3, 1964. Russell enjoyed racing dirt track cars in his early years.

Russell was highly regarded for his upholstery work, being used by many car enthusiasts and local businesses. He spent many years working in the oil field before retiring. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Russell is survived by his children, Ronda (James) Anderson, Veronica (Fred) Schroyer and Russell “Brother” (Lisa) Parks. Grandchildren Tyler (Devon) Anderson, Philip (Brittany) Anderson, Calvin (Michelle) Anderson, Billy Joe (Mallory) Schroyer, Cole (Jill) Schroyer, Kaitlyn (Matthew) Hoffman, Keelie (Trai) Parks, Ransom (Mannie) Parks, Alexis Parks and his 19 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor Parks and Oma Fuson, his wife Lanell Parks, one granddaughter Megan Schroyer along with 3 brothers Tommy Parks, Dennis Parks and Joe Snyder.
