William H. \Brownie\ Dickenson, age 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 19, 2016.Brownie was born August 6, 1927 in Lamb Co., Texas to Willie Ben Dickenson and Leona Lundy Dickenson. He married the love of his life Juanita Mooring Dickenson on November 6, 1949; they were married 59 years prior to her death in 2009.Brownie and Juanita made their home in Midland where they were active members of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland since 1968. Brownie served in multiple leadership roles at Crestview including chairman of the Deacon body, church committees, and other areas of service. His ministry to others defined him as a man and Christian. That ministry was founded on his love for his Lord and Savior and people. He was truly a sweet and loving man. Brownie managed Central Freight Lines terminal office in Midland until his retirement. Brownie was also an avid horse lover and raised and worked with his horses.Survivors include two daughters, Gail Dickenson of Odessa and Karen and Charles Bullion of Brownwood; and four grandchildren, Dawn Bullion Hankins and Evan Hankins of Mesquite, Trey and Diane Bullion of Carrollton, Clayton and Bethany Bullion of Stephenville and Kadie Bullion Nowell of Early. He was blessed with 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother, W. B. Dickenson, Jr of Olton and several nieces and nephews. Brownie is preceded in death by wife Juanita Dickenson, parents Bill and Leona Dickenson and brother BA Dickenson.The last year of Brownie's life has been spent in Odessa at Madison Medical Resort. The staff loved and cared for him as family. Our special thanks to them for all their care.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Crestview Baptist Church building fund.Family visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Memorial funeral services will be held December 21, 2016 at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland starting at 1:30 pm.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland.
