William “Carl” Forest, Jr., 72, of Midland passed away peacefully at his home Monday, July 28, 2014.Dad was born December 18, 1941 in Midland to Bill and Virginia Forest. He was the oldest of 8 siblings, Ron and Ann Forest of Midland, Carol and Larry Potter of Odessa, Mavis and Jack Brashear of Austin, Donnie and Cheryl Forest of Odessa, Debbie and Terry Lewis of Brownwood, Rusty and Sharon Forest of Hobbs, New Mexico.He was preceded by his father, Bill Forest, and youngest sister, Pam Forest. He has 4 children, Bill and Michele Forest of Midland, James and Donna Forest of Midland, Lee and Stacie Forest of Denton, Texas, and Kathy and Patrick Terry of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Logan, Melinda, Meghan, Corbin, William, Stephanie, Kasey, Kalei Forest and Kate and Caroline Terry.Dad loved being a native Midlander and was active in the community. He was a minister, he served on the Alamo YMCA board, coached little league, and was the first manager of the Pizza Hut. He was manager of Krest Cleaners and Industrial Laundry until he started Industrial Mat and Towel in 1978, which he owned and operated until he retired in 2012. He loved bowling and has bowled in numerous leagues for 37 years. Dad loved the Lord and cherished all his friends.The family will be accepting guests at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm, Thursday, July 31, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 1, 2014 at This Generation Church of Midland.
