Wayne was a great friend while growing up in Ozona. His humor and sharp wit always kept us laughing. Judging by the comments about his kids, he has left this world a better place. Prayers for peace and strength to his family.

Tim Witham left a message on December 21, 2024:
Dear Bissett family, Your family is so warm and welcoming to everyone that comes through your door. Wayne was a huge part of the recipe for love and openness that your family embodies. My favorite memory of Wayne was when James and I hung out in the pool talking about classic rock and roll with him. He told us stories about his favorite bands, including how The Rolling Stones found a saxophonist from Lubbock. Wayne was a fantastic conversationist, and it was always a delight to get to talk with him. Sending all the love and condolences from the Witham family. Best regards, Tim Witham

Vincent Scarpa left a message on December 19, 2024:
If I can be so bold as to assert any kind of certainty about a man I'd never gotten to meet, I know Wayne was a good and generous man. I have known his goodness and his generosity through the friendship I have gotten to forge with his daughter, Robin, who is as pure of heart and as good of intention as anyone I've ever come across. I'm sure Wayne had much to do with that, and I'd bet the farm on his having known that, his having been extremely proud of it. To have raised a daughter as kind as Robin in a world that so often saddles us with reasons to be vengeful and opportunities to act outside of what I believe (with stars in my eyes) is our essential goodness — that is no small thing. That is a life well-lived. "And should you glimpse my wandering form out on the borderline Between death and resurrection and the council of the pines Do not worry for my comfort, do not sorrow for me so All your diamond tears will rise up and adorn the sky beside me when I go" — Dave Carter
