Wanda Mize McGee, 62, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, January 1, 2006, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Rev. Darrell Hendrickson, pastor of First Church of God, officiating.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on December 1, 1943, in Roscoe, Texas and married Rodger Mize on October 31, 1959 in Sweetwater, Texas. He preceded her in death in February of 1996. She then married Virgil McGee on December 1, 1997.Wanda came to Big Spring in 1963 from Sweetwater. She had owned and operated the Vogue Beauty Salon from 1978 until retiring in 1999. She was a member of First Church of God.Survivors include her husband, Virgil McGee of Big Spring; two daughters, Starla Ayala and husband, Adrian, and Cindy Mize and friend, David Wheeler, all of Big Spring; two brothers, Leonard Brown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Jerry Wayne Horton of Mesquite; four sisters, Mary Thompson of Munday, Annie Mae Ausburne and Lola Oden both of Sweetwater and Nina Mannuzza of Big Spring; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and a beloved son, Rodger Mize.The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
