Wanda Lee Harris, 91 of Midland, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Wanda was born on May 28, 1931 in Quitaque, Texas to Lee and Lillian Gregg. She married the love of her life Cecil Burnard Harris on January 21, 1950. They were happily married for 65 years. She raised two boys, Terry and James, and helped her husband run Harris Rat Hole Services for over 45 years. Wanda was very talented and loved painting and sewing. She spent many hours making quilts for everyone she loved. She also loved gardening and being outdoors. While living at her lake house at Willis Point, Texas she enjoyed growing her own garden. She also had a love of animals and had a variety from peacocks to swans to goats and many more. Wanda loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She was everyone’s “MeMa”. She loved to talk to people and if you were lucky enough to know her you knew she had a heart of gold. She was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed.
Wanda is survived by son, Terry Harris and wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Jerri Harris; five grandchildren, Brent Harris, Jennifer Nunley, Justin Harris, Katherine Harris and Brandon Harris; ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Burnard Harris, Jr; sons, Jerry Harris and James Harris; brother, Dennis Gregg; parents, Lee and Lillian Gregg.
