Rob and Betty Shiels left a message on August 15, 2010:
Judy, Trey, and Royce... Betty and I just received an e-mail from Ed Robbins this morning with the news of Bill's death. We've been at our home in Snowmass all summer and a little out of touch, but would certainly been to his service had we known. Sad to say, the last time we saw Bill or any of you was at your Mom's funeral, but he and I would converse on the phone from time to time. He was always the same, happy guy no matter what. I know how much you all miss him - we will, too. With warmest regards, Rob

Robbins family, Bill was so special to us. We are very sad to hear of his passing. He always made us feel like part of the family and was so kind every time we were around him. We have so many great memories of him. I enjoyed my visit with him so much last summer, and am thankful I did get to see him that visit. We wish we could be with you now, but know that you are in our hearts and prayers.
