Villie Fisher Adams was born on December 5, 1936 in Houston, Texas to J. Horace and Margaret Adams and passed away on April 27, 2023 at home in Midland with his lovely wife at his side.
The Adams family moved to Midland in 1947 and Fisher graduated from Midland High School in 1955. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas with a finance degree and is a Veteran of the United States Army. Fisher married Sue Salmon in Brownfield, Texas in 1964. Sue and Fisher welcomed two sons, James and Bryan. The family lived in Midland, Marfa, Lubbock, and back to Midland, Texas.
Fisher was a Farmers insurance agent for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going down to Carbon to relax on the farm. Sue and Fisher enjoyed many trips and cruises with their friends. Fisher was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Fisher was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Horace Jr. and Kenneth. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 59 years Sue, his son James of Carbon, his son Bryan and wife Brenda of Midland, his brother Herbert and wife Carolyn, and nieces and nephews.
The family wants to thank all the caretakers at Accent Health who assisted Sue in caring for Fisher at home during his last 3 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Aphasia Center of West Texas.
A short prayer service and visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 5th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at 501 W. Wall Street.
