Vernetha Kay Aldridge

     Vernetha Brown Aldridge, 46, of Houston, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 in a Houston Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 30, 2001 at First Baptist Church with Rev. W. R. Bolton, Jr.,of Bethal Baptist Church in Abernathy, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.      She was born on October 10, 1954 in Big Spring, Texas and married Leroy Aldridge in Midland, Texas. Vernetha, was a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church.      She was a homemaker and a loving devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.          Survivors include three daughters, Sirnetha Montano of Midland; Semecki Cooke of Houston and Schquitor Thomas of Odessa; two sisters, Gwendolyn Bolton of Lubbock and Wanda Brown City of Midland; two brothers, Purdis Brown, Sr. and Bradis Brown, Sr. both of Queen City; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.      She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Brown, Sr.; two brothers, Rosevelt Johnson, Sr. and Thurman Brown, Jr.     Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
