Verna Wynell Powell, 87, of Big Spring, Passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Verna was born June 15, 1938 in Kemp, Texas to parents Horace Wilburn Randall and Verna V. Williams. She married Wayland Powell on April 3, 1959. Verna loved quilting, puzzles, and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wayland Powell; daughter Tammy Wilks (Jackie), sons Michael Powell (Shelly) and Kevin Powell (Kari); grandchildren Jennifer Shinn (Jeff), Heather Saint, Lindsay Woods, Zach Powell (Abigail), Emma Powell, and Morgan Powell; great grandchildren Jaden, Grayson, Brinley, Kyleigh, Reagan, Braylee and Parker; one brother Gerry Randall (Frida) and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Horace “Slim” Wilburn and Verna V. (Williams) Randall and siblings Royce Randall and Sandra Teaff.
