Valyncia Kirby, 72 of Stanton, passed away on Monday, February 8th, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10th at the Greenwood Church of Christ located at 9501 FM 307 Midland, TX 79706.
Valyncia was born on October 14th, 1948 in Big Spring Texas to Jackie and Garland “Ted” Conway. She married Danny Kirby in Big Spring on March 24th, 1967. They had two children, Lanny and Kerri.
Valyncia loved her family, friends and animals, especially horses and was a barrel racer most of her life. She had a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from U.T.P.B. and worked for the Department of Human Services her entire career. In retirement she cared for her mother and enjoyed helping young barrel racers. She was a member of the Greenwood Church of Christ.
Valyncia is survived by her mother Jackie Conway, husband Danny Kirby, son Lanny Kirby, daughter Kerri and husband Paul Leonard, grandchildren: Dusty Kirby, Katie and husband Justin Wilson, Daphni and husband Jimmy Brymer, Jami Leonard, Luke Leonard, and great grandson: Solomon Brymer. Valyncia is preceded in death by her father Ted Conway.
