Valerie Pickett, 88, of Midland passed away on May 26, 2010 at home in Midland. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity with Rev. Sam Hulsey officiating.Valerie was born on May 30, 1921 in Quero, Texas to Dr. Alfred and Mary (Mair) Frobese. She was a homemaker. Valerie married Perry D. Pickett in Austin on April 3, 1948. They moved to Midland in 1949. She was a member of the Law Wives Association; president of Episcopal Church Women; Diocese of North West Texas and served many times as a delegate to the National Convention of the Episcopal ChurchShe is survived by her son Denny Pickett and wife Jan of Granger; two grandchildren, Ty Pickett and wife Telisha of Granger, Nathan Pickett and wife Laura of Rogers; four great-grandchildren, Sebastian Pickett, Ahren Pickett both of Granger, Ryan Pickett of Bartlett and Reuss Pickett of Rogers.Mrs. Pickett was preceded in death by her husband and son Rev. Joseph Pickett.In lieu of flowers family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Midland at P.O.
