Trish Gabbard

Trish Gabbard, 72, of Big Spring, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, June 1, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church of Coahoma, 209 N 1st St, Coahoma, Texas.

Trish was born on October 7, 1951, at the Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Birkenfeld/Rhein Hessen, Germany to Bill and Inga Bennett. As a young girl in 1960, she and her family moved to Big Spring. Trish graduated from Big Spring High in 1969. She loved playing golf, quilting, knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was always willing to help and dove headfirst into anything she did. She was a proud resident of Big Spring.

Trish is survived by her husband Howard Gabbard of Big Spring; son Rickey Swafford of Virginia Beach VA; daughter Sandy Shifflett and husband Brandon of Coahoma; two step-daughters: Kelly Schulte and husband Jeff of Monahans; Stacey Young and husband Mark of Quanah; one step-son Joe Gabbard and wife Kelly of Durango, CO; granddaughters Megan Shifflett of Big Spring, Jessica Swafford of Virginia Beach, VA, Vanessa Rawlings of Monahans, Lexi Gabbard of Quanah, Sydney Gabbard of Durango, CO and grandsons Jacob Swafford of Virginia Beach, VA, Ryan Shifflett of Coahoma, and Trevor Gabbard of Bayfield, CO; and one sister Joyce Maya and husband Carl of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Trish was preceded in death by her father Bill Bennett and mother Inga Bennett.
