Theodore “Ted” Francis Gawloski

Theodore “Ted” Francis Gawloski, 68 of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Ted was born in Ossining, New York, His family later moved to Waco, Texas, where he attended Reicher Catholic High School. He pursued higher education at McLennan Community College and Baylor University, ultimately earning a Master’s Degree in Geology in 1981.

In the beginning of his professional journey, Ted joined Amoco Corporation in Houston, Texas, specializing in petroleum geology. His career flourished as he embraced new opportunities, leading him to Midland in 1984, where he continued his work in exploration geology. Over the years, his contributions to the field and his commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike.

Ted was preceded in death by his mother Anne Colford Gawloski; father Ted Gawloski, Sr.; and brother Paul Gawloski.

Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Gawloski; sons Alex and Nick Gawloski; brother Larry Gawloski, his wife Debbie, and children Marissa and Matt; sister Cathy Montgomery, her husband Frank, and children Kate, Hank, and Meg.
