With great sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Terry Lynn Fieseler in the arms of Jesus on October 25, 2024 at his home in Midland, Texas surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Terry was 70 years old.
Terry was born in Fort Worth Texas on January 3, 1954, to Paul Reed and Avis Dale Fieseler. Terry was the only child of this union, but he had extended brothers and sisters on his wife’s side of the family, being Donald Grelle (Janice), Kenneth Grelle (Dianne), Karyl Johnson (Larry) and Peggy Kinnison (Don, Deceased).
Terry graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas in 1972. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Linda Grelle. When Terry set his eyes on Linda when she moved to Midland in her Junior year of high school, he told his friends that he was going to marry that girl and he did on December 17, 1971. Terry and Linda have celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Terry was an entrepreneur, having owned his own business for over 40 years, being The Screenery, Inc. He was a skilled craftsman when it came to fixing everything and anything and was a perfectionist.
Terry’s (PaPa’s) love and joy of life was to watch his Grandson, Cade, through all of his athletic activities. He would look forward to Friday night lights watching him play football at Lee and his track and field activities, which Cade excelled in both. He was so proud when Cade was accepted into The University of Missouri “Mizzou” to follow his dreams of continuing his shot put and discus aspirations. He beamed from ear to ear whenever Kayla, Jake or Cade walked into the room. He was so very proud of Kayla’s accomplishments and career journey and Jake’s craftsmanship of remodeling homes and reputation he established doing this.
Terry loved the game of golf and playing in numerous golf tournaments, with his favorites being the Lee High School Football tournament, Make A Wish Foundation, which was organized by his friend, Dirk Parks, and his yearly golf excursion to Laughlin, Nevada with his group of golf buddies.
Terry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Linda, daughter, Kayla Decker and husband, Jake Decker, whom he considered his son, of Midland, Texas and the love and joy of his life, grandson, Cade Decker of Columbia Missouri. His nieces, Janine Lyckman (Mark), Chris Grelle, Gaylynn Anderson (Brian), Shannon Kurtz (Rod), Stacy Grelle and Kim Ringer (Cody), all of whom he loved and adored, and numerous cousins.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Paul Reed and Avis Dale Fieseler, in laws, Eugene Henry and Norma Grelle, son, Michael Paul Fieseler. His brother-in-law, Don Kinnison.
We would like to thank our son, Jake Decker, for his endless, selfless, unconditional and generous love and support in taking care of Terry, from taking him to appointments, catching him while he is falling, picking him up when he had fallen, watching countless hours of movies with him and your endless unconditional love. Also, to our special friends and considered our family, Claudie (CJ) and Danna (DeDe) Cantrell for their love and support during Terry’s battle with his illness and their continued love and support, to VTX Energy Partners for being so supportive and generous in allowing Linda to be able to share quality time with Terry and care for him at home. Also, to our special caregiver, Peaches Williams, for her attentive care, who loved Terry, which he reciprocated that love.
