Susan Murray, 69, of Midland, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel, with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.Susan was born on November 25, 1949 to Bernard Murray and Bettine Palmer Murray in England. Susan’s family came to the US in 1957 by ship and stepped onto American soil off the gangplank. Susan started her care giving as an EMT and continued working in the medical field. She was a compassionate care giver, and she made everyone she oversaw care for, feel like they were the only one. Susan had a passion for the care and raising of horses.She is survived by her son Jeffrey Murray of Midland; cousin, Linda Young husband Clarence of Stephenville; cousin, Mike Williams and wife Pam of Midland; numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins in England.She is preceded in death by her parents.The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given to Susan from the staff of Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center Hospital.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
