Sue was born May 19, 1934 in Big Spring, Texas to parents Lewis McKee and Veda Walker McKee.
Our mom loved life and pretty much never met a stranger. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply, as well as all of her family. She was a Christian and the Lord called her home. She belonged to Trinity Baptist Church since the 50’s. She was a hard worker and owned and operated several businesses, two of which were her beauty shop and barbecue restaurant.
We loved her and will miss her tremendously, but take comfort knowing she is with our Lord and loved ones that went before.
Survivors include her children Debbie Riggan (Fred) of Burleson, TX, and Steve Adams (Jani) of Midland, TX. Sisters Karen Murphy of Granbury, TX, Jennie Shaw of Smyer, TX, and Delores Andrews (Ray) of Odessa, TX. Grandchildren Lesli Badenhorst (Vaughn) of Ft. Worth, TX, Griffin Hays (Johnny) of Midland, TX and Stephanie Dunaway (Braxton) of Midland, TX. Also eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents Lewis and Veda McKee, sisters Francis Thomas, Rachel Shaffer, Neva Shaffer, Mary Eggleston, and brother Raymond McKee.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com
