Always remember growing up with Betty and Bill 3 boys. I was always looking forward to seeing them in Mt. Vernon hearing about places they were just leaving or moving to. Had some great times. Prayers to the family . Rest in peace cousin. Linda

One memory that sticks out in my mind from Uncle Steve - when I was probably 8 years old, I was out on Grandad's porch with him and Steve playing fetch with Holly and Molly dogs. Those girls loved to play fetch with those little sticks, remember? Well, Steve and Grandad were smoking cigars, sharing an ashtray, and both were lecturing me to never smoke tobacco... I didn't realize it then, but that cliché talk from them made a huge impact on me and I've never picked up a cigarette. He was the first First Responder I'd ever known and I am so thankful to have grown up in our family - Love you!

I'll never forget all the great years on and off duty. Trying to teach me to golf, Summer Mummers, "chubby bunny" on New Year's Eve, and all the years at Central. Rest in Peace. My prayers and thoughts are with all the family and friends. The world is now a sadder place, but I know Steve is celebrating.
