Stacy Stuart Stribling of Midland passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at home. The family will receive guests from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Stanton. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.Stacy was born on July 18, 1967 in Tarrant County, Texas to William Edward and Patricia Ann. In 1975, he moved with his family to Martin County and attended and graduated from Grady High School. He had achievements in sports and FFA and shop, graduating in 1985. After graduating, he attended Angelo State University and UTPB. In 1993, he began his career in the environmental industry with Nova Environmental. As an environmental scientist, he worked for Philip, B & H, Wilbros and then independent consulting.In 1993, Stacy met Shelly and her two girls, Dusti and Alyssa, beginning their family life. On January 17, 1997, they welcomed their son Noble Edward.Stacy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, to the point where birthdays were scheduled around the season and he always had a chair at Thanksgiving ready to watch the game. He loved the outdoors and taught his kids how to hunt and shoot a gun. Later in life, he found golf and enjoyed the greens with friends as well as clay shooting tournaments. His greatest achievement was being an amazing father and grandfather.Stacy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob & Helen Thrailkill of Stanton; Bill and Thelma Stribling of Midland; father, William Edward Stribling, Jr of Midland; Aunt Francis Scott of Midland.He is survived by his mother Patricia High of Stanton; son, Noble Stribling of Midland; daughters, Dusti Dunham of Ohio and Alyssa Starr of Victoria, Texas; granddaughters Willow, Jocelynne, RyAnn and Kinsleigh; cousins, KC Caulder, Robert Scott and Bill Scott and their families; special friend Shelly Miller Stribling of Austin, Texas and many other family and friends.Pallbearers will be KC Caulder, Robert Scott, Bill Scott, Kyle Large, Cody Large, Kevin Caulder, Bill Swink, Fred Garza, Terry Shanks and Ken Welch.Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.
