Shirley Laverne Womack Bruner

Shirley Laverne Womack Bruner of San Angelo, Texas went to her heavenly home on January 5, 2025 at the age of 89.

Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was born on February 6, 1935 to Oma and Zeb Power Womack in Big Spring, Texas.

Shirley and her husband Joe settled in Midland where they lived for many years and raised 3 boys.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved hosting Christmas for her family every year.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Bruner and her oldest son David Bruner.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Bobby Bruner and his wife Sharon Felts, Kyle Bruner and his wife Kim Bruner; her beloved sister Donna Sawyer; niece Darla Poole; grandchildren Erica Nickols, Ashley Warren, Jake Bruner, Kellsey Bruner, Austin Bruner and 7 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on January 11, 2025 at Resthaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Shirley’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a tribute gift to the Alzheimer’s Association.
