Shirley Jean Rhea, 68, of Odessa, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.She was born October 20, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas and married Morris Rhea July 13, 1991 in Odessa. He preceded her in death February 26, 2007.She was a hairdresser and loved raising children. She was a longtime owner of Cassidy's Hideaway, where she made many friends. She loved her Dallas Cowboys and her family was #1.Survivors include her longtime companion, Jim Thomas of Odessa; three daughters, Bambi Heard and Melissa Butler both of Odessa and Susie Morgan of Andrews; one sister, Gwendolyn Marker of Levelland; three granddaughters, Shannon Delyn Minyard and Taylor Faith Langehennig both of Odessa and Bridgette Morgan of Hamilton; two grandsons, Dustin Alvis Lee Minyard of Odessa and Steven Morgan of Hamilton; two great-grandchildren, Tate Minyard and Ethan Minyard both of Odessa; a nephew, Wayne Courtney of Odessa; three nieces, Kandi DeLeon of Wichita Falls, Karla Chapman and Sandra Hartline both of Lubbock; and many great nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by her mother, Edna Louise Renick; her father, Alvis Lee Renick; and a brother, Jackie Langford.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
