Shirley Ann Paige, 77, of Big Spring, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, with Bro. Mike Seay, Pastor at Midway Baptist Church in Sand Springs, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends and family Sunday the 9th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Shirley was born on November 2, 1939 in Big Spring and married Jerry Don Paige on December 22, 1956 in Big Spring.She was one of eight children raised in Knott and part of the cotton-farming community. After she and Jerry raised their six children, she went to cosmetology school and enjoyed working in her own salon for the next 23 years. Shirley was most happy when cooking for a full house of family and friends. She spent many summer days making homemade ice cream for her kids and grandkids.She enjoyed being a member of Midway Baptist Church and spent many hours serving her community and spending time with her church family.Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Rodney and Janet Paige and Gary and Cathy Paige, of Big Spring, and Donnie and Della Paige of Odessa. She is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Annette and David Schofield of Big Spring, Gayla and Tony McMurrian of Odessa, and Melissa and Dave Daniels, also of Big Spring. Shirley had 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grand-children.She had five sisters and three brothers: Louise Wilborn, Arlene Montgomery, Hazel Barnes, and Merle Roman, Alton Chapman, Raymond Chapman, and Donnie Chapman.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Don Paige, her parents, George and Lillian Chapman, three brothers, Alton, Raymond, and Donnie, and two sisters, Arlene and Merle.The family suggests memorials be sent to Midway Baptist Church: 6200 S.
