Sherry Cox

Sherry Cox, 77, of Midland, TX, was called home by her Lord on May 4, 2024. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Big Spring.

Sherry was born on July 10, 1946, in Big Spring, TX to Wallace and Mary Napper. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior. She married James Clifford (Jim) West on April 5, 1964. She had one son, James Matthew (Matt), on December 7, 1967. She was a faithful wife and devoted mother. She was also a dedicated employee, committed to excellence, regardless of the task. She enjoyed cooking and baking, particularly homemade bread. In 2010, she married Vic LeBeau and they lived in Whitney, TX. Vic went home to be with the Lord in July 2020. Later that year, Sherry reconnected with a friend from high school, Dewain Cox. They built a relationship and married in June 2021. Sherry treasured her family and friends and looked forward to seeing them.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Dewain Cox; her son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Rebecca West and her grandson, Daniel West, of Carrollton, TX; her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and DiAnn Napper of Kerrville, TX; and, a niece and two nephews, and their families.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Mary Napper; her brother, Roy Napper; and her former husbands, James West and Vic LeBeau.
