Scott Lee Orson, 55 of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Interment will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park. Followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will then proceed at the Branch at npw.
Scott Orson was born on October 17, 1966 in Andrews, Texas to Liz and Rick Orson. Scott grew up in Midland, Texas and graduated from Midland Lee High School. He then attended Texas Tech University graduating with a B.A. in management information software, continuing to Southern Methodist University where he obtained an advanced degree in Microsoft information systems.
Scott was blessed with twins Jared and Audrey Orson, as well as another son Logan Orson. Scott is married to Catherine Orson and has three stepchildren; Ace Britton, Caitlin Moorhead, and Jordan Watkins. Scott enjoyed watching movies and distance running. He was also a member of the Permian Basin Landmen’s Association.
Scott was a beacon of light to all who knew him, he loved to laugh. He always had his eye on the prize and lived each day to the fullest. 2 Timothy 4:7- “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Scott is survived by his parents Rick and Liz Orson, children; Jared, Audrey, and Logan Orson, wife Catherine Orson, stepchildren Ace Britton, Caitlin Moorhead, Jordan Watkins, one brother Eric Orson, two sisters Allyson Bakken and Rikky Dorian, grandmother Mrs. Francis Orson, two grandchildren Damen and DeLuca.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Midland Memorial Hospital and CCU nurses for their unwavering dedication to his care, and also to that of his family. Memorial donations may be made to the Springboard Center, and Thriving United of Midland, TX.
