Sandra June Merrell

Sandra June Merrell, 66, of Midland, passed away August 4, 2021. Service will be at 1 PM Monday, August 9, 2021, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no interment.

Sandy was born December 16, 1954, in Midland to Robert Lee “Bud” and Mary Imogene “Jean” Merrell. Sandy spent most of her life in Midland where she worked many jobs as a single mother of two children. Her favorite job was helping her customers at H&R Block for almost 20 years.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father Bud Merrell and later her stepfather Gerald “Jerry” Poole and mom Jean Poole.

Sandy is survived by her children Brandi Rodriguez, Jason Baker, and daughter in law Jennifer Baker. Sandy is also survived by her siblings Terry Merrell, Scherry Gatewood, and Bonnie Beavers and her husband Donald. Her grandchildren Brittany Stuchell and Blaine Boaz and her great-grandchildren Eliath and Dimitri Rangel. Sandy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and “sister cousins”. Sandy was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Ashton Medical Lodge and Home Hospice of Odessa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.
