Sandra G. Nobles “Sandi”Wife, Mother and GrannySandi was born Sandra Irene Grabowski on May 25, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin to Victor J. Grabowski and Elizabeth Martha Grabowski. Sandi passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside and went to her heavenly home March 29, 2017. She graduated from St Catherine’s high school in 1965. She moved to Long Beach, California to live with her Grandmother Irna Kops at the Gold Star Mothers Home. She went to work for Geophysical Services in Inglewood. John was transferred to the Inglewood center from Midland and that is where Sandi and John meet. After about 6 weeks of dating Sandi and John eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada and were married on December 17, 1966 at the Little White Chapel of the flowers. They enjoyed 50 great and wonderful years of marriage. In April of 1968 John and Sandi moved to Midland, Texas and lived for the rest of her life. Sandi began her career in the oil business working for several independent oil companies as secretary and office manager. It was 9 years of marriage before we had children. Those 9 years were spent with many friends in the Midland Jaycees. Sandi held several offices with the Jayceets. John and Sandi have two children Matthew James Nobles (wife Clarissa) of Bryan, Texas and Jennifer Nobles Bland (husband Jonathan) of Midland, Texas and stepdaughter Elizabeth Lynne Nobles of Webster, Texas. Sandi was blessed with 7 wonderful grandchildren: Nadia Nobles (15), Lucas Nobles (10), Victor Nobles (8), Cecilia Nobles (6), Allyson Bland (6), Olivia Nobles (3), Daniel Nobles (1) and step grandson Justin Nobles (27). She loved each of them and spoiled them whenever and however she could. Sandi was always involved in all activities of our children and grandchildren and always pushed each to do the very best each could do. Sandi was always going to pick up Lucas and Allyson and taking them to places in Midland. The library and going to see the peacocks was always a highlight, as was the A street duck pond. Sandi was a wonderful, kind, caring wife, mother and Granny. She never met a stranger as she would stop and talk with anyone, whether it was in the changing room at Dillards or the checker at Albertsons or to help people if needed. Sandi will be greatly missed by her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. I want to thank the Lord for bringing Sandi into my life as my loving and caring wife.
