Funeral Service

Sandra Ann Borrego, 61 of Midland, TX, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory with visitation starting at 8:00 am followed by a memorial service in celebration of her life from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Sandra was born on February 10, 1962, in San Antonio, TX, to Domingo Borrego Jr and Ruth Macias. From birth Sandra faced many health challenges but was a fighter and outlived the prognosis given by doctors.
Around the age of 9 her family relocated to Denver City, TX where she lived most of her life.
Sandra became blind and deaf later in life, but that didn’t hold her back, even facing cancer, her faith in God, her fighting spirit and strength helped her endure. She continued to live her life as independently as possible alongside our mother in Midland, TX, where she spent the last of her days.
Sandra was never married nor had children of her own, but she had her family, which she loved very much.
Although she was blind, Sandra’s favorite pastime was making beaded bracelets while she listened to praise and worship. It would always bring a smile to her face when she gave someone a bracelet. She had a great sense of humor and wit, with the most contagious laugh.

She was a daughter, a sister and an aunt that will be dearly missed.
She was and will continue to be our shining light.

Sandra is survived by her mother, Ruth Macias; sisters, Ruthann Kumar (Winston), Maggie Aguirre, Leticia Angeles (Carlos Sr). Nieces and nephews, Yuvia Angeles, Jessica Acosta, Marcos Acosta (Sandy), Adriana Angeles, Carlos Angeles Jr (Stephanie), Christian Angeles, Delilah and Danilah Aguirre and thirteen great-nieces and nephews.

Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Domingo Borrego Jr.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers during our time of grief.

It's sad to lose a loved one, but being God's child our life is just beginning with the Lord and our loved ones in Heaven. Our lives here are temporary but eternal in Heaven. God always comforts us as we grieve. Praying for you at this time knowing it's but a moment compared to eternity.

Although I never met Sandra personally, I have had the privilege of upholding her in prayer as a friend of her sister Ruth Ann Kumar. I rejoice that one day we shall meet face to face in the beautiful, peaceful city of God. Until then, may His peace rest upon each member of her family.

When I think about it, why grieve when a sister or a brother has died in the flesh when the real person is alive with Christ having the the best life ever. Nevertheless we grieve anyway because the flesh is all we can see and relate to, I don't know Ruth, but she is a sister and I could meet her even tonight. My condolences to her family and her church and sooner than we think as we see how everything putting fitting together, the lord is getting prepared to meet us in the clouds. May God comfort each and everyone and those who are not saved, should use this opportunity to make a heart felt commitment to Christ the Savior. See you all on the glory train 🙏🏾
