Russell Barron Cox

Russell Barron Cox was born November 26, 1952 to Dorothy and Dean Cox in Midland, Texas.  He attended Midland schools and graduated from Midland High School.  He then attended Texas Tech University.  Russell moved to the Middle East and worked for Oil Tools International.  He was an offshore driller.  He loved the Middle East and the history that came with it.

After returning to the United States in 1982, he married Christi Hughes.  They later moved to the Dallas area.  Russell tried several different business ventures and was successful at a few and unsuccessful at a few.  He gave each venture his best, giving a lot of blood, sweat and tears.  He moved back to Midland when Christi passed away.

Russell is loved and will be missed by his sisters, Suzy and Sandra, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  We will miss his laughter and sense of humor.

Any memorial donations should be made to heart research and diabetic studies.
