Rosalia Quintela

Our mother and grandmother, Rosalia Quintela of Midland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Visitation will take place at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens on South Rankin Highway. Following the interment, there will be a reception at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall.

Rosalia Quintela was born in 1936 in Mexico. She had 5 children: Manuel Quintela (Margret), Mario Quintela (Gracie), Mary Reyes (Robert), Maggie Perales (Gilbert), and Martha Cowley. She had also been blessed with 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mom was a lovely person who welcomed everyone into her house. She enjoyed organizing, cooking, gardening, and maintaining a tidy home. Her family was her greatest source of happiness and pride, and she would stop at nothing to assist everyone. Even though she had been an orphan with only an elementary education, she consistently motivated and inspired her family to pursue higher education. Thanks to her tenacity and passion, she has been succeeded by certified teachers, registered nurses, physical therapists, accountants, and other professionals.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Angels Home Health nurses, home health care providers Viviana and Socorro, and the hospital staff at Midland Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
