Ronald Dee Stacy, 71, of Big Spring passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Stacy's family will receive friends and family Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 6 – 8pm at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Stacy will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2pm in the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel officiated by Chaplain Lynn Robertson. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Ronnie was born March 14, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to Robert and Ila Mae Stacy. He grew up mostly in Odessa, Texas. After obtaining his GED in 1963 Ronnie enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California. After his discharge in 1967, he went to work for his father in the oil fields of West Texas, eventually leaving the oil field behind to start work as an Industrial Electrician working all over Texas and many other states finally retiring from the Big Spring State Hospital in 2010.Ronnie married Geneva Lee Frie October 31, 1982 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and made their home in Odessa, Texas eventually moving to Big Spring in 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Geneva; one brother, Bobby Stacy; three daughters, Angi Stacy Scheffers of Iowa, Jenifer Roberts and Jolene McNutt both of Big Spring; and two sons, Dwayne Stacy of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Roy Dale McNutt of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.Ronnie was preceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Ila Mae Stacy; a younger brother, Kenneth Stacy; and an uncle that was dear to his heart, Charles Hight. The family suggest memorials be made to the Compass Hospice 602 South Main, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or to DAV www.dav.org.
