On December 15, 2018, age 74, Ronald James Henderson of Midland, Texas, was promoted to his heavenly home.Ronnie, as known by friends and family, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Fred and Margaret Henderson. He and his sister, Sherrill Ellis, enjoyed life in South Texas growing up. He moved to Midland and met his wife of 51 years, Virginia, with whom they had three children (Christine, Ronald and Catherine) and many memories together.Ronnie spent 35 years working for Compressor Systems Incorporated. He enjoyed moments of mechanic work of all kinds, mostly working on cars, but given any task he would find a way to ensure it was working before he stopped. Another joy came in taking amazing photos, whether of his kids, a location he was visiting, or the animals he was enjoying.He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Christine Wiginton.Survivors include, his wife, Virginia; his son, Ronald Henderson, of Fort Worth; his daughter, Catherine Henderson, of Midland; a sister, Sherrill Ellis, (Damon) of Mathis; and grand-daughter, Katelyn Wiginton, (father, Jeff Wiginton) of Midland; nieces, Sabrina (Andy) Bruncke and Jennifer (Jason) Cox; and nephew James (Michelle) Ellis; and several great-nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring, Midland, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland.
