Ron Lechwar, 78 years old of Midland, TX, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, surrounded by family in his home. Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Mid-Cities Community Church, 8700 TX-191, Midland, Texas.
Ron was born on January 31, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Lillian Lechwar. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked as a jet mechanic. His favorite memories of his service were co-piloting the T-33 to test McChord Air Force Base’s defenses. After the air force, he dedicated himself to learning all aspects of the oil production industry where he had continued to work. He highly valued education and obtained several college degrees in Business, Safety Engineering and Computer Science. He loved spoiling his dogs and spent his final days doting on his Maggie Mae. While he enjoyed his work and dogs, his true passion was his beloved wife, Ruth Lechwar.
Ron is survived by Ruth Lechwar, Wife; Kenneth Lechwar, Brother; Robert Lechwar, Son; Elisa Lechwar Potter, Daughter; Melissa Lechwar Gonzalez, Daughter; Kevin McNew, Stepson; Angie McNew Cole, Stepdaughter; Nine Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren.
Ron is preceded in death by Patricia Lechwar Byrd, Sister; Lillian Lechwar, Mother; Joseph Lechwar, Father
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Hospice of Midland. A special thanks to LineQuest, who allowed Ron to work from home so he could care for Ruth during her own health struggles and were faithful in their dedication to him until the end; devoted friends Tom and Brigitte Weigand for bringing food, sitting with him and loving he and Ruth.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Weigand, Kevin McNew, Chris Lechwar, Rusty Potter, Corey Joe Potter, and Riley Cole.
