Roger Farrell Wells, 74, of Midland passed on Monday, October 30, 2017 in Midland, TX. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery.Roger was born in Brownwood, TX on February 24, 1943. He lived in Midland, TX for the majority of his life. He was married to Dianna (Rangel) Wells on July 15, 1978. They were married for 29 years.Roger was a devoted father, grandfather and hard-working man. He started working as a young child and never quit. He worked for Mobile in his early adult years. He later worked as an iron worker and helped build some of the downtown Midland buildings that define the city’s skyline to this day. He started his own company, Custom Builders, in 1984 and then later worked for JM Roofing. He enjoyed playing roller hockey as a kid and young adult. He played on a team and competed against several teams across Texas. He also enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family.Roger is survived by Dianna Wells; his children Lincoln Wells and better half Michelle Griggs, Lacie Wells, Ryan Wells and his wife Deborah, and Ross Wells; his brothers Darrell Wells, Kevin Wells and his wife Debby; his sister Annette Williams and her husband Walt; his three grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas, and Jackson; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.Roger is preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Loreta Wells and by his siblings Ronnie Wells, Debra Wells, and Marquita Wells.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
