Robert David Redman was born to Brad and Peggy Redman on 7 August 1962 in Colorado City, TX. After several moves among small towns in West Texas, the family settled in Midland, TX in 1968. Robert was a Midland High School alumni, a professed Christian from the age of 10, and an outstanding plumber.
Anyone who knew Robert well could tell you three things: he could figure out how to build and repair just about anything, he was the funniest person in the room, and he was excited about anything fast on wheels. He was a jack of all trades and everyone’s favorite handyman. He always had a one-liner, and a smile on his face; but he was happiest on the back of his motorcycle. Robert’s need for speed was a lifelong love that he shared with his late brother Ross. Despite all of the stitches, broken bones and speeding tickets, his passion for dirt bikes and motorcycles never wavered.
After the untimely passing of his best friend and little brother, Ross, Robert struggled with addiction over the course of his life. Eventually he overcame his demons, and celebrated 9 years of sobriety. Robert was committed to sober living and inspired others to do the same.
Robert was killed in a motorcycle accident in Midland, TX on 13 December 2022. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Redman, big sister Lisa and her husband, David Epperson, niece Courtney Epperson, of Midland, and nephew Nathan Epperson, of San Angelo; Uncle Lucky and Aunt Penny Merket of Leander, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Brad Redman, brother Ross Redman, grandparents, Charles and Linnie Williams, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Emma Williams, Uncle Doyle and Aunt Nan House. Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Oldham, Joseph Goble, Rodney Sessions, Jason Parkis, and Dave Webster.
