Robert “Bob” Perry Knox Sr., 89, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Bob was born on October 11, 1932 to Maudie and Finas Knox in Archer City, TX. He graduated from Archer City High School in 1950. He attended Midwestern University. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952. Bob was a mechanic for PetroLite/Tretolite Chemicals.
Bass fishing was Bob’s favorite thing to do. He loved fishing in bass tournaments, fishing with his buddies or fishing with his grandkids. He enjoyed watching Lee Rebel baseball and football games. He loved going to watch sports, especially the Lee Rebels.
Bob was a gentle hearted kind man and a man of few words. He would always make you laugh with his ornery sense of humor. He was a very honest man. Bob was hard working. He loved to fix things that were broken or modify things to work better.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Knox; son Robert P. Knox Jr. and wife Kay of Phoenix, AZ and their children Jae, Chris and Jordan; daughter Holly Evans of Midland, TX and her children Curtis, Corey and Hannah; son Bryan Shores and wife Nicole of Midland, TX and their children Nicolas and Chase; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers, H.P., Pat and Scottie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Lee Rebel Baseball @MidlandLee-Baseball (Venmo).
