Robert Louis Roten, 92, of Stanton died Friday, November 3, 2017 in a nursing home in San Marcos.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:0 0pm, Monday, November 6, 2017 at the funeral home.He was born April 12, 1925 in Red River County, Texas and married Mamie Lee Perrin August 7, 1942 in Clarksville, Texas. She preceded him in death December 22, 2011.He served in the Army during World War II.Robert Louis Roten came to Stanton in 1942. He worked on the J.C. Sale Ranch when he first came to Stanton and worked at a dairy for a short while before going to the Army. When he came home, he worked for Finley Rhodes Motor Company as an auto mechanic. He then worked for B.F. White Motor Company as the Parts Department Manager for forty four years until his retirement.He was also a Mason and a member of the Senior Citizens Old Sorehead Band and the First Baptist Church in Stanton.Survivors include two sons, Rodney Karl Roten and Robert Glenn Roten and wife, Patty, a daughter, Rhonda Gilliland; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren in-laws; four great grandchildren in-laws.The family suggests memorial be made to First Baptist Church Library, P.O.
