Robert Bonnell Holton passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, in Midland, Texas. Robert was born on January 12, 1963, in Midland, Texas, to Martha Arnold Holton and Walter Bonnell Holton, Jr.He is survived by his sister, Tammy Smith, and her husband, Bill; and by his brother, Van Holton, and his wife, Pattye. He is also survived by nephew Will Smith and his wife, Casey, and their children Archer and Bosun; nephew Sam Holton and his wife, Savanna, and their son Graham; niece Elizabeth Wilson and her husband, Bryan, and their children, Kenzie, Alex, Libby, and Holton; and niece Vanna Boulter and her husband, Blaine, and their daughter, Ellie Mae. He also leaves behind several aunts, an uncle, and many cousins, and his constant companion, his sweet little dog, Daisy.Robert grew up in Midland, attended Sam Houston Elementary and Trinity School, and graduated high school from New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. He received an Associates degree from N.M.M.I. and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. After graduation Robert started his career in banking and later followed in his dad’s footsteps and became an independent landman.Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. A reception in the parlor will follow.Memorials may be sent to New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico, First Presbyterian Church, or any organization benefitting animals, because of Robert’s great love for all animals.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle &Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
