Robert “Bobby” Kevin Mills, 66 of Midland passed away on May 29, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1958, in Big Spring, Texas. He grew up in Big Spring until he went to college in San Angelo, TX. After graduating with a degree in music, he began his career in education. He worked in Big Spring, Odessa and Midland. Eventually he attended UTPB and received certification. He also was a vice principal and was over the fine arts programs in Tyler, Texas.

After retirement, he lived in Midland. He became a lay associate with a group in Midland. For several years, he provided technical help for zoom to the associate group with the Sisters of the Living Word. The sisters also asked him to send information from their office in the Chicago area to various groups in different states.

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother and father and his sister, Becky.

His love of animals led him to rescue and adopt several dogs while living in Midland.

A memorial mass will take place at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2025 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.

My Uncle, Mr. Bobby Mills, passed away at 66. He was a great fine arts teacher and educator in Big Spring, Midland and Tyler. Although this is a sad situation, I am ultimately relieved that he is no longer suffering in pain. He has been in the hospital since February with many health issues. I spent many summers growing up in schools organizing and decorating with him! He loved all dogs! He loved Christmas! He was so good to the kids too! He was the best gift giver and always so thoughtful and intentional! He was big in the Catholic church alongside his friend Barb which I am ever so grateful she is here! We loved him so much and his presence will definitely be missed! 🙏
