Rita Jo Owens Dykes

Dykes, Rita Jo Owens, 50, of Big Spring, died on Friday, January 5, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 8, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dudley Mullins, pastor of East Fourth Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on August 31, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas and married Charles A. Dykes on December 20, 1985 in Big Spring, Texas. Rita was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She was a graduate of Big Spring High School Class of 1968. She retired from West Texas Opportunities as the center director, after seventeen years of service, in December of 2000. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and most of all, a loving and caring friend to everyone. She was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Dykes of Big Spring; her father, Sollie Odell Owens of Abilene; her mother, Joan Miller of Houston, one sister, Gina Miller of Houston; one brother, Willard Ray,
