Rexie Wayne Denton, 64, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Mona Lue Tonn pastor of Spring Tabernacle, officiating.He was born on February 1, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas.Mr. Denton was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and attended Big Spring High School graduating in 1961. He had worked for Gandy's in the 1960's and 1970's and was an assistant supervisor for the Dr. Pepper Company in the 1980's. He was Baptist.Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Carpenter of Oklahoma, Cindy Corgill of Midland, and Wyvette Denton of Big Spring; two sons, Rex Denton, Jr. of Midland, and Daniel Denton of Big Spring; three sisters, Angel Grantham of Big Spring, Sonjia Aycock of Midland, and Sherry Hernandez of Dallas; two brothers, Dickie Denton and Quinn Denton both of Big Spring; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Bernice Denton, one daughter, Theresa Ann Denton, and his grandmothers, Floy Odom and Mabel Cloud.
