Raleigh Mitchell Allen was born January 12, 1992, in Austin, Texas, and raised in Midland, Texas by his loving parents Mark and Nessia Allen. On Sunday, March 24, 2024, Raleigh passed away unexpectedly.
Raleigh was full of life from a very young age, he made friends easily, and enjoyed going on various adventures with those he loved. He was a kind, loving, enthusiastic, passionate soul, and would pour everything he had into anything he attempted in life. Growing up, he enjoyed tagging along with his dad and older sister on Indian Princess campouts, getting to have his own special campout trips with the Indian Guides and his dad, and he always looked forward to going to the family vacation home in Vanderpool, Texas where he not only got to explore freely but also have target practice with “hunting armadillos.” At a young age, Raleigh accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and held tightly to a home beyond his Earthly one. As he entered adulthood, Raleigh took up a hobby of skydiving, where he also found a love for flying, and aspired to be an airplane pilot. Raleigh loved wholeheartedly and deeply anyone who came into his life, but especially his family.
Raleigh had four children who encompassed his entire world, and he loved beyond measure. In May of 2023, Raleigh married his friend, adventure partner, and love Veronica. Anyone who knew Raleigh knew they needed to be prepared for anything, everything, and for a time full of exploration and adventures. He had a special knack for brightening anyone’s day with his beaming smile, sense of humor, and contagious personality. Raleigh impacted everyone he encountered, leaving behind unforgettable and cherished memories.
Raleigh is survived by his wife, Veronica Dominguez; four children, Layla Lynn (14), Emery Elizabeth (5), Aleyna Aurora (3), and Rowan Phoenix (22 months); his parents Mark and Nessia Allen; his sister, Savannah Allen and spouse, Delia Soto, nephew Jonah Allen (16); brothers Dalton Kush and Jarred Farmer of Austin, Texas; his grandfather Billy Joe Mitchell; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Raleigh is preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. Francis Allen and Elizabeth Allen, and Grandmother Martha Mitchell.
Just as Raleigh found excitement, celebration, and adventure in life, his family invites anyone who knew and loved Raleigh to attend a celebration of life service scheduled to be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
