Raj P.D. Ambardekar peacefully joined his Heavenly Father on November 30th in Midland, Texas.
He was born in Kurtade, India May 14, 1941. He was the youngest son of 13 children born to Dattatraya and Satyebhame Ambardekar.
Raj had no greater love than for his family. He helped many of them to come to the United States as college students. He was very well educated, having earned three masters degrees. In 2000 he retired as Library Director of Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia.
He enjoyed reading, traveling, football, gardening and cooking. He was a man of many talents.
Though a massive stroke paralyzed his right side ten years ago, he never let that stop him from an active life!
Raj is survived by Colleen, his wife of 52 years and Megan, his daughter.
A Celebration of Raj’s life will be held December 2, 2023 at 3:00 PM, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland, Texas.
Memorials may be made to Patwardhan Highschool Ratnagiri, India where Raj attended. They may be sent to 1319 Logan Creek Rd, Midland, Texas 79705 and Colleen will send them to the school. Thank you all for loving Raj!
