R. V. Colclazer, 85, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, August 30, 2001, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 1, 2001, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park withTroy Barrington, pastor of Primitive Baptist Church, Midland, officiating. He was born on June 18, 1916 in Scurry County, Texas and married Nelda Lucille Lee on April 20, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Colclazer worked for Snyder Truck and Tractor in Snyder before moving to Big Spring in 1961. He worked for K. H. McGibbon Oil Company and Bill Wilson Oil Company in Big Spring retiring in 1978. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church and a member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association. He served in World War II with the 360th Engineers in England and France. Survivors include his wife, Nelda Colclazer of Big Spring; two daughters and one son-in-law, Virginia Hedges of Converse and Cheryl and Andy Hedlund of Lubbock; one son, Mike Colclazer of Big Spring; three sisters, Velma Greer of Odessa, Opal Wenetshlaeger of Snyder and Mildred Egly of Sweetwater; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
